    Following are some internet sites that will give information on how to prepare for graduation from high school, whether this involves taking tests for entrance into college, the Military or looking for a job directly after high school.

  Preparing for College    

    Studyworks Online    provides information on what to do to prepare for college, including Junior and Senior year calendars,  Standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT), guidance advice and financial aid advice.

   The College Board site allows you to register for tests online, enables searches to find individual college test requirements, as well as helpful test taking tips.

    The Princeton Review provides free online tests for the PSAT and SATs. students are required to register online but no purchase is necessary.

    Number2.com a free resource for test practice for SAT, ACT, GRE and vocabulary building.

    The Study Hall presents another opportunity for free test (SAT/ PSATs) practice and help for achieving higher test scores.

  Preparing for Civil Service and the Military    

   ASVAB Home Page - Peterson's Test Preparation: Learn about the ASVAB test, tips and strategies for taking the test, and online practice.

   Military.com provides free short and long free online practice tests and tips for taking the ASVAB test.

    USAjobs is the official job site of the United States Government. It provides federal jobs and employment information as well as a link to Studentjobs.gov the government site for student employment opportunities in the civil service. This site provides information on thousands of Federal Government job opportunities. There is no charge for using Studentjobs.gov and users are not required to pre-register to look for a job.

     Americorps and the Peace Corps    Peace Corps

    The Peace Corps official site:  Find out what the Peace Corps is Like. Get the scoop on what it's really like to be a Peace Corps Volunteer. Through videos, pictures, and stories, Volunteers talk about their work, living conditions, communities, and more. Find applications and links to more information.

    National Peace corps Association: This is a site maintained by citizens who served in communities in more than 134 developing countries since the Peace Corps was created in 1961. That global experience defined their lives and changed their views of the world and of their role in that world. They are teachers, community activists, business leaders, government officials, members of Congress, ambassadors, social entrepreneurs, and other members of the Peace Corps family.
