Rhymes with witches by Lauren Myracle

I loved this book.  It’s so real about what high school is like today, it’s filled with every day drama. -KK

Shattering glass by Gail Giles

            I loved this book.  I couldn’t put it down for the whole night.  I finished it the day I got it.  It kept me focused and I couldn’t stop reading.  Not many good books can do that, not even great ones can.  I would recommend this book to high school students because it shows cliques and the impact they have on high school life. - MH

 Impulse by Ellen Hopkins

           - Really good, kept me reading until it was finished. I would recommend this to any teenager. - MH

Burned by Ellen Hopkins

            I really liked the style in which she writes. The way she talks about people and their real life struggles makes you realize things could be worse, I would definitely recommend this book to everyone, it is great readn’. - CC

Crank by Ellen Hopkins

          -  The book expressed a dark side but was reality that drugs are able to play a horrid role in lives. - DW

          - Crank is about a girl on crank who finds out she is pregnant. She overcomes several challenges to put her life back in order.  - BG

The boyfriend list by e. Lockhart

            I liked this book a lot because it is real and it talks about stuff that you wouldn’t think books would talk about.  I recommend this book to many others.  I think they will like it as much as I did. -KK

Ender’s game by Orson Scott Card

            I would recommend this book to all sci-fi readers.  It’s a fairly typical sci-fi idea of mankind in danger and we search our humanity to find our salvation.  The book takes Ender through several perils until its happy ending. -MD

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

            Twilight was an excellent book, with amazing description. I absolutely loved the characters and the story lone. I would recommend anyone who enjoys fiction to read this book. - ER

It’s kind of a funny story by, Ned Vizzini

            I liked this book because I like to read books with people that have problems. I didn’t like that the book went so slow. Yes I do recommend this book to others because I think they would enjoy it although it’s not a funny picture. -AK

Small steps by Louis Sachar

            It’s about a guy who gets his life back and falls in love then gets in trouble for selling counterfeit tickets. -JW

Two Swords by R.A. Salvatore

            Part of a trilogy that goes with thousand orcs, it is a great free time readn’ book. -CC

Thousand orcs  by R.A. Salvatore

            If you like fantasy with an action packed character then this is an excellent book and I recommend it to all. -CC

 Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare

            If you like Shakespeare which most do not it’s easy to understand, in a way. Only recommended to those who can understand his writin’. - CC

            Third Book to the Drizz’t Du’urden trilogy - CC

 Silver kiss by Annette Curtis Klause

            It was almost like blood and chocolate keeping you wonderin’ whats goin’ to happen next. I would recommend it to anyone into vampires. -CC

Blood and chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause

            I liked how it gave each character a personality throughout. I never knew what was goin’ to happen next, it was great and I would recommend it to everyone especially if you liked the movie. -CC

 Last days by Scott Westerfeld

            I love how it switches between characters and follows the story to PEEPS. It tells a story and follows it although changing characters giving you a feel for each, recommended to those who have read PEEPS . It’s a must read after PEEPS. -CC

The new boy by Julian Houston

            This is a great book? I recommend everyone to read this book. It shows how race isn’t only about someone’s color. It tells people how racial remarks can hurt a person. - AJ

The Client by John Grisham

            Much better than I originally thought it would be. Kept me reading in suspense. I would recommend it. -MH

 Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

            It was a great book and I really kind of understood what she was going through and I could feel what she felt. A really good book. -MH

 Heart on my sleeve by Ellen Wittlinger

            I liked how they were all talking over the internet. I also liked the conversations because I can totally relate. I would recommend this to teens in high schools. -TW

The book thief by Markus Zusak

            It is a good book if you like historical with a background of WWII and has a childish twist of a German’s side of WWII. -SB

Firebirds rising by Sharyn November

            This book was great! The first story really gets you on the end of your seat. It’s a great one to start with. This book is great for everyone because of the different stories - CM

Looking for JJ by Anne Cassidy

            This was a great book! I recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and mystery. I just loved everything about this book. - CM

True Beliver by Virginia Euwer Wolff

            This book is very good! I do recommend this book to people who just love to read. At first it was slow, that’s why I didn’t like it but it’s still a great book. - CM

Red Spikes by Margo Lanagan

            This book is 10 different stories. The second story, called Monkey’s Pasternoster starts confusing, but soon you get it, but still very weird. This book is great and I do recommend it. - CM

The sisterhood of the traveling pants by Ann Brashares

            Four girls test their friendship and discover something unique about themselves as they embark on their own summer experiences. The best part of this book was the heartwarming friendship and acceptance among four very different girls. I would definitely recommend this book. - MS

Forever in blue-the fourth summer of the sisterhood by Ann Brashares

            I like the book because it shows how your friends will always be there for you. I would definitely recommend this book to others because it is a great book. -KG

The breakup bible by Melissa Kanta

            Really, really good. All girls should read it! Excellent! - BC

 In the dark of the night by John Saul

            This book was very good, there was a lot of suspense and thrills. If you are into the stalker kinds of books then this book would be great for you. I loved how John Saul puts so much detail into his scenes of action and he uses very discrete words to explain what is happening. Once again if you like creepy, scary, suspenseful books then this book would be great for you to read. - DM

Big mouth and Ugly girl by Joyce Carol Oates

            This book made me either extremely happy or made me feel pity for the characters. I finished the book in 2 ½ days. I would recommend this book to anybody who pities others easily. - LB

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows by J.K. Rowling

            I loved this book. It was extremely suspenseful! I couldn’t put the book down. It kept me on the edge of my seat from page 1. I would recommend it to anybody who has read the 1 thru 6 books. - LB

Dancing with red shoes will kill you by Cirrone

            I was the first one to ever read this book EVER! It was good, I would recommend this book to somebody who is a person that believes heavily in freedom of speech. -LB

Stoner and Spaz by Ron Koertge

            This book was okay, it was a pretty slow paced book for such a serious subject. It wasn’t boring but it wasn’t extra exciting either. - LB

Black Mirror by Nancy Werlin

            I loved it! Great writing! When you think you know the end you’re wrong and when you think you know the antagonist from protagonist you are also wrong. - KS

I am the messenger by Markus Zusak

            This book is one of the best I ever read. He is a good writer. You have to be kind of mature to read it. -KS

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

            This is one of my favorite books. The humor is slightly dry and the book is romantic. I would definitely recommend it. - KS

            I liked this book because it shows how strong friendship is. I would definitely recommend this book. -BW

Keeping you a secret by Julie Anne Peters

            I thought this book was good because it shows how stressful high school life can be when you have a boyfriend. I would definitely recommend this book. - BW

Never cry wolf by Farley Mowatt

            I liked this book, because Mr. Mowatt actually cares about the wolves and because of the Eskimo legends put in the story. -BG
